Hello Cyberworld! I'm Shawnda. I'm in my 6th year of incarceration. I've been down since I was 14. I now live in Memphis, but I am originally from Burton, Michigan. I grew up fishing on the Great Lakes. My grandpa was a charter captain. I've not been home in so long. I've many new interests now. I love poetry and writing. I write poetry, short stories and such. I'm working on my second screenplay. I write on many topics, but my two of choice are gun control and school violence. I've found that writing makes for a great escape from the everyday dreariness of this place. I love volleyball! I play in the tournament we have here. I love to watch baseball. The New York Yankees are my team. I also enjoy reading (escape route #2). Dean Koontz is my favorite author. For four years, ages 14-18, I was segregated. So, I'm now the queen of useless knowledge. TV, movies, awards and actors, ask me anything. Music is also a huge part of my life. I listen to just about everything. I like Eminem, Linkin Park and Papa Roach. I also like Boyz II Men, rap, country and all Latin music. If you are in need of some intellectual, deep conversation (write Freud), if you just want to gab about nothing, either way, I'm your choice! I would like to correspond with men and women for friendship, age and race do not matter. I look forward to hearing from you! | ||||
